Multicenter phase 2 trial of second-line lisocabtagene maraleucel for R/R LBCL in HSCT-ineligible adult patients

Patients with relapsed or refractory large B-cell lymphoma (R/R LBCL) after first-line treatment who are not eligible for hematopoietic stem-cell transplantation (HSCT) have poor outcomes and limited treatment options. The phase 2 PILOT trial, in 18 centers in the USA, evaluated second-line lisocabtagene maraleucel (liso-cel) in this setting. Overall response was seen in 80% of patients. The safety profile was manageable. The authors conclude that these results support liso-cel as second-line treatment for patients with R/R LBCL for whom HSCT is not intended.
