First-line PET-guided therapy with 4-6 cycles of brentuximab vedotin, etoposide, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, dacarbazine, and dexamethasone (BrECADD) is effective for advanced-stage classic Hodgkin lymphoma (AS-cHL) in younger patients. A multicenter phase 2 cohort of the German HD21 trial evaluated first-line PET-guided BrECADD for AS-cHL in patients aged 61 to 75 years. The treatment was tolerated, with complete response at end of chemotherapy in 82% of patients, and 2-year PFS and OS rates of 91.5% and 90.8%, respectively. The authors conclude that PET-guided BrECADD for AS-cHL in older patients was feasible and effective.
