Multicenter phase 2 trial of low-dose moderate hypofractionated radiotherapy for indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma
Prof. Ye-Xiong Li
The optimal radiotherapy regimen for patients with indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma (iNHL) is not known. A phase 2 trial at four centers in China evaluated the low-dose moderate hypofractionated regimen of 12 Gy in four fractions involved-site radiotherapy for these patients. The 6-months complete response rate (primary endpoint) was 95% (95% CI 87-98). Most acute adverse events were grade 1. The sole grade 3 or higher adverse event was grade 3 lymphopenia (11% of patients). The authors conclude that the regimen of 12 Gy in four fractions was safe and showed promising activity as a local treatment for iNHL.
