Angiosarcomas express a variety of vascular endothelial growth factor receptors. The multicenter phase 2 OER-073 evaluated pazopanib, a multikinase inhibitor with anti-VEGFR activity, in patients with incurable angiosarcoma. The clinical benefit rate was 48%, and median progression-free and overall survival were 14.4 weeks and 69.8 weeks, respectively. The authors conclude that pazopanib therapy in patients who had incurable angiosarcoma was associated with meaningful disease control.
