Multicenter phase 2 study of nab-sirolimus for malignant perivascular epithelioid cell tumors
Dr. Andrew Wagner
Malignant perivascular epithelioid cell tumor is a rare aggressive soft tissue sarcoma, with no approved treatment. The multicenter phase 2 AMPECT study in the USA found that nab-sirolimus was active
in patients with malignant perivascular epithelioid cell tumors. There were no grade 4 or 5 treatemtn-related adverse events. The authors conclude that nab-sirolimus could be an important new treatment option for this disease.
