Multicenter phase 2 study of ephrinB2 inhibition plus PD-1 blockade in metastatic urothelial carcinoma
Dr. Sarmad Sadeghi
Patients with metastatic urothelial carcinoma (mUC) have poor prognosis after failure of standard first-line chemotherapy, with low response rates to immunotherapy. A multicenter phase 2 study in the USA evaluated combination of ephrinB2 inhibition and PD-1 blockade in these patients. The study showed that combination of soluble EphB4-HSA and pembrolizumab had acceptable toxicity and was associated with improved ORR and OS compared with historical data of patients receiving only immunotherapy.
