Multicenter phase 1b study of intratumoral vidutolimod with or without pembrolizumab for PD-1 blockade-resistant metastatic melanoma

Vidutolimod is a Toll-like receptor 9 agonist. A multicenter phase 1b study in the US evaluated intratumoral vidutolimod with or without systemic pembrolizumab for patients with metastatic PD-1 blockade-resistant melanoma. Vidutolimod PS20-A alone or in combination with pembrolizumab had an acceptable safety profile and promising activity, with median duration of response 25.2 months with vidutolimod PS20-A plus pembrolizumab and 5.6 months with vidutolimod monotherapy.
