Multicenter phase 1b study of camrelizumab plus apatinib and fuzuloparib for recurrent or metastatic TNBC
Strategies to improve activity of immune checkpoint inhibitors for triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) are needed. Preclinical studies showed that antiangiogenic agents and PARP inhibitor might sensitize tumors to immunotherapy. A multicenter phase 1b study in China evaluated the combination of the anti-PD-1 antibody camrelizumab plus the VEGFR-2 inhibitor apatinib and the PARP inhibitor fuzuloparib in patients with recurrent or metastatic (R/M) TNBC. The safety profile was manageable. The objective response rate and disease control rate were 6.9% (95% CI 0.9-22.8) and 62.1% (95% CI 42.3-79.3), respectively. The median progression-free survival was 5.2 months (95% CI 3.6-7.3).
