Multicenter phase 1 b trial of anti-PD-1 antibody SCT-I10A plus anti-EGFR antibody (SCT200) for advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma

SCT-I10A is a novel anti-PD-1antibody and SCT200 is a novel anti-EGFR antibody. A multicenter phase 1b trial in China evaluated the combination of SCT-I10A and SCT200 among patients with previously treated advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (aESCC). Among all patients, the objective response rate was 25.7%, with a median progression-free survival of 3.98 months and a median overall survival of 6.90 months. Among patients who previously underwent ICI treatment the ORR was 17.24%, the median PFS was 3.98 months, and the median OS was 6.08 months. The safety profile was manageable. The authors conclude that the combination of SCT-I10A and SCT200 demonstrated antitumor activity in previously treated aESCC, even in patients who had previously failed ICI therapy.
