Multicenter observational cohort study of mogamulizumab for Sézary syndrome

Sézary syndrome (SS) is a fatal cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. The retrospective SURPASSe01 study at 24 centers in France and Switzerland investigated real-world outcomes with the anti-CCR4 monoclonal antibody mogamulizumab for SS. One hundred and ten patients out of 339 patients received mogamulizumab. Median follow-up was 58 months. The overall survival at 5 years was 46.5% (95% CI 40.6-53.3). Multivariable analysis showed that age ≥ 80 years (versus < 50: HR 4.9; p=0.001) and large-cell transformation (2.8; p=0.001) were independent and significant factors associated with reduced OS. Mogalizumab treatment was significantly associated with decreased mortality (HR 0.34; p=0.013). The authors conclude that mogamulizumab was associated with increased overall survival in SS patients, independently of other prognostic variables.
