Meta-analysis of 13.864 women with early-stage, HER2-positive breast cancer in seven randomized trials found that addition of trastuzumab to chemotherapy reduced recurrence of, and mortality from, breast cancer by a third, with worthwile proportional reductions irrespective of recorded patient and tumor characteristics.
