Meta-analysis of long-term overall survival with PD-(L1) blockade with or without CTLA-4 blockade for advanced non-small cell lung cancer
Dr. Biagio Ricciuti
Individual patient level data meta-analysis of six randomized phase 3 trials evaluated the overall survival impact of addition of CTLA-4 blockade to PD-(L)1 blockade among patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. The meta-analysis found that addition of CTLA-4 blockade to PD-(L)1 blockade was associated with improved overall survival in patients with PD-L1 tumor proportion score less than 1% (HR 0.85; p=0.021) and in those with STK11
mutations (HR 0.67; p=0.012), but not in the overall population (HR 0.95; p=0.19).
