Individual patient-level meta-analysis of association of HER2DX score and survival outcomes in early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer
Prof. Aleix Prat
HER2DX is a genomic test that integrates tumor biology and clinical data to stratify risk in early-stage HER2-positive breast cancer. A meta-analysis of individual patient-level data of 11 studies with 2518 eligible patients (median follow-up 6.1 years) found 6-year event-free survival rate of 93.6% (95% CI 92.0-95.2) in the HER2DX low-risk group compared with 82.9% (80.0-85.5) in the HER2DX high-risk group. The authors conclude that HER2DX provides clinically meaningful prognostic stratification in stage I-III HER2-positive breast cancer, beyond standard clinical-pathological variables and pathological response.
