A multinational retrospective study by the European Society of Blood and Marrow Tranplantation investigated impact of prior ruxolitinib therapy on outcomes of alloHSCT for myelofibrosis. Day 45 engraftment was significantly higher in ruxolitinib-responsive patients than in patients who were not previously treated with or had lost response to ruxolitinib (94% versus 85%; p=0.05). The best event-free survival after alloHSCT also was seen in the group of patients with ongoing response to ruxolitinib.
