The safety of fertility preservation (FP) requiring ovarian stimulation among young women with breast cancer is not clear. A study in British Columbia (Canada) found that among young women with stage I-III breast cancer FP, with median 4.1 year follow-up, did not impact invasive breast cancer-free survival (FP versus non-FP group: HR 1.006; p=0.988) or overall survival (HR 0.789; p=0.725) and was associated with higher odds of conceiving at least once (OR 3.024; p=0.008).
