Imaging response to contemporary immuno-oncology combination therapies in patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma
Dr. Vishal Navani
A cohort study using real-world data from the International Metastatic Renal Cell Carcinoma Database Consortium found that treatment with immune-oncology combined with VEGF inhibitor was associated with higher likelihood of objective imaging response compared with treatment with combination of two immune-oncology therapies (ie, ipilimumab-nivolumab). Presence of lung metastases, receipt of cytoreductive nephrectomy, and favorable IMDC risk were associated with increased odds of experiencing objective imaging response.
