Humanized CD19-targeted CAR T cells for R/R ALL in CAR-naïve and CAR-exposed children and young adults

CD19-targeted CAR T cells result in unprecedented responses in B-ALL. However, relapse remains a substantial challenge. A study at the University of Philadelphia (PA) evaluated a humanized CD19 CAR T-cell product (huCART19) in CAR-naïve or previously CAR-exposed children and young adults with relapsed or refractory B-ALL. HuCART19 achieved durable remissions in both cohorts.
