HRQoL with first-line pembrolizumab versus chemotherapy for MSI-H or dMMR metastatic colorectal cancer

The multinational phase 3 study KEYNOTE-177 randomized patients with microsatellite instability-high or mismatch repair-deficient metastatic colorectal cancer to first-line pembrolizumab or chemotherapy, and found significantly better PFS in the pembrolizumab group than in the chemotherapy group (HR 0.60; p<0.0002). HRQoL analysis of the study has now been published. Pembrolizumab led to clinically meaningful improvements in HRQoL compared with chemotherapy.
