Meningiomas arising from the confluence of the falx and tentorium (CFT) are a rare and challenging subset of meningiomas. Gamma knife radiosurgery (GKRS) is a safe and effective management strategy for meningiomas, but its role in treating CFT meningiomas is not clear. A retrospective study at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center showed that GKRS is a valuable therapeutic strategy for patients with CFT meningiomas. Local tumor control was 100% at 5 years and 83% and 10 years.
