Frontline hyper-CVAD plus ofatumumab versus hyper-CVAD plus rituximab for Ph-negative ALL in adults
Dr. Elias Jabbour
A study at MD Anderson Cancer Center (Houston, TX) compared outcomes of hyper-CVAD plus ofatumumab as frontline therapy for Philadelphia chromosome-negative ALL in adult patients versus outcomes of hyper-CVAD plus rituximab in a historical cohort. A propensity score analysis with inverse probability of treatment weighting was performed to adjust for baseline covariates between groups. The median event-free survival with stem cell transplantation censoring was 65 months with ofatumumab plus hyper-CVAD versus 33 months with rituximab plus hyper-CVAD (p=0.054). The median overall survival with SCT censoring was not reached versus 52 months, respectively (p=0.097).
