Five-year outcomes with FOLFIRINOX versus gemcitabine as adjuvant therapy for pancreatic cancer

The phase 3 PRODIGE 24/Canadian Cancer Trials Group PA6 trial in France and Canada randomized patients after R0/R1 resection for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma 1:1 to adjuvant mFOLFIRINOX or gemcitabine. Final five-year results of the trial showed better disease-free survival, overall survival, metastasis-free survival, and cancer-specific survival with mFOLFIRINOX compared with gemcitabine (visual abstract).
