Fertility with BrECADD versus eBEACOPP for advanced classic Hodgkin lymphoma: secondary analysis of the phase 3 HD21 trial

The multinational phase 3 HD21 trial found higher efficacy and better acute tolerability with BrECADD compared with eBEACOPP in newly diagnosed advanced-stage classical Hodgkin lymphoma. Secondary analysis of the trial found significantly better gonadal recovery with BrECADD compared with eBEACOPP, as well as higher parenthood rates (significantly so in men). The authors conclude that these findings support BrECADD as preferred first-line therapy, especially for patients wishing to preserve fertility.
