Efficacy and safety of cabozantinib for patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma based on ALBI grade
Prof. Robin Kate Kelley
Albumin-bilirubin (ALBI) grade is an objective measure of liver function in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). The TKI cabozantinib is approved for patients with advanced HCC who have received prior sorafenib based on the phase 3 CELESTIAL trial. Post-hoc analysis of the trial found that cabozantinib compared to placebo was associated with better overall survival among patients with as well ALBI grade 1 and ALBI grade 2. Progression-free survival also was better with cabozantinib compared to placebo irrespective of ALBI grade 1 or 2.
