Dietary supplements (DSs) are not recommended for the prevention of cancer recurrence. A survey among 1049 individuals living with or beyond breast, prostate, and colorectal cancer in England found that 40% of participants used DSs, 16% used more than one DS, and 4% used more than three (range 4-15). Use of dietary supplements was associated with demographic factors, health behaviors, and belief that use of dietary supplements can reduce the risk of cancer recurrence.
