D-Rd versus Rd for newly diagnosed MM in transplant-ineligible patients: frailty subgroup analysis of MAIA

In the phase 3 MAIA study of patients with transplant-ineligible newly diagnosed multiple myeloma (NDMM), daratumumab plus lenalidomide and dexamethasone (D-Rd) improved progression-free survival versus lenalidomide and dexamethasone alone (Rd). Frailty subgroup analysis of the study found that non-frail patients had longer progression-free survival than frail patients, although the PFS benefit os D-Rd versus Rd was maintained across subgroups. The authors conclude that these findings support the clinical benefit of D-Rd in transplant-ineligible NDMM patients in MAIA, regardless of frailty status.
