A cross-sectional study using data for 2016 to 2018 from the National Health Interview Survey investigated use of antidepressants and anxiolytics among adult cancer survivors (n=5091) compared with the general US population. Cancer survivors were more likely to use antidepressants and anxiolytics than the general population. Among the survivors, non-Hispanic Black individuals had significantly decreased odds of antidepressant use and anxiolytic use compared with no-Hispanic White survivors. There were also significant differences by insurance type and by cancer type.
