Cohort study of long-term clinical outcome of metastatic melanome patients with initial stable disease on pembrolizumab monotherapy
Dr. Eva Ellebaek
A substantial number of patients with metastatic melanoma (MM) treated with anti-PD-1 monotherapy have initial stable disease (SD), yet the real-world prognosis of these patients is not clear. A Denmark-wide cohort study analyzed real-world outcomes of MM patients with initial SD on pembrolizumab. Forty percent of these patients developed a subsequent objective response with improved long-term prognosis comparable to patients with initial response, whereas more than 20% exhibited continued disease control.
