Clinical trial of M1-c6v1 oncolytic virus plus camrelizumab and apatinib in advanced hepatocellular carcinoma
Dr. Liang Peng
A clinical study at Sun Yat-sen University (Guangzhou, China) evaluated the combination of oncolytic virus M1-c6v1 with the immune checkpoint inhibitor camrelizumab and the VEGFR2 inhibitor apatinib among patients with advanced hepatocellular carcinoma (77% presenting with tumors > 10 cm). Treatment was well tolerated, with 92% of adverse events being grade 1 or 2. Among patients evaluable for efficacy, the overall response rate was 70%. The median progression-free survival and overall survival were 8.9 months and 15.4 months, respectively. The authors conclude that the combination of M1-c6v1 with camrelizumab and apatinib demonstrated an acceptable safety profile and promising efficacy in advanced hepatocellular carcinoma.
