Cabozantinib plus atezolizumab for mCRPC after progression on novel hormone therapy

The multinational phase 1b COSMIC-021 trial evaluates the combination of cabozantinib and atezolizumab for solid tumors. Expansion cohort 6 of the trial included patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer after novel hormone therapy (eg, abiraterone or enzalutamide), a population with poor prognosis and few treatment options. The combination showed promising antitumor activity with an acceptable safety profile.
