Association of tumor mutational burden with outcomes of chemoradiation plus durvalumab for locally advanced NSCLC
Dr. Narek Shaverdian
The addition of consolidative durvalumab to chemoradiation (CRT) has improved disease control and survival in locally advanced non-small cell lung cancer (LA NSCLC). However, there remains a need to identify biomarkers for response to this therapy. A cohort study at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (New York, NY) found that TMB-high status was associated with significantly improved 24-month locoregional failure and 24-month progression-free survival
among patients with unresectable LA NSCLC receiving CRT plus consolidative durvalumab.
