Association of immune-related adverse events with efficacy of atezolizumab for non-small cell lung cancer: pooled analysis of three trials
Pooled analysis of the phase 3 IMpower130, IMpower132, and IMpower150 randomized clinical trials evaluated the association of immune-related adverse events (irAEs) from first-line atezolizumab for advanced nonsquamous non-small cell lung cancer with outcomes. Patients with grade 1 or 2 irAEs
within one, three, six, or twelve months had longer OS than patients without irAEs. Patients with grade 3-5 irAEs did not have longer OS than patients without irAEs. The authors conclude that the analysis further supports the use of first-line atezolizumab-containing regimens for advanced nonsquamous NSCLC.
