Association of healthy lifestyle after endoscopic polypectomy with risk of colorectal cancer and all-cause mortality
Dr. Mingyang Song
It is unknown whether maintenance of a healthy lifestyle after endoscopic polypectomy could still confer benefit for colorectal cancer (CRC) incidence and mortality. A prospective study in three U.S. cohorts used a healthy lifestyle score based on body mass index, smoking, physical activity, alcohol consumption, and diet. The study showed that adherence to a healthy lifestyle after polypectomy was associated with significant prevention of colorectal cancer and reduction in all-cause mortality.
