Adjuvant TLPLDC vaccine after surgical resection of stage III/IV melanoma

A multicenter phase 2b study in the USA found that after resection for stage III or IV melanoma administration of TLPLDC (tumor lysate, particle-loaded, dendritic cell) vaccine was well-tolerated and improved DFS in patients who completed the primary vaccine series. This suggests that patients without early recurrence benefit from TLPLDC in preventing future recurrence of melanoma.
