Adjuvant anthracycline plus taxane versus taxane-based chemotherapy for node-negative TNBC in older women

Adjuvant chemotherapy reduces recurrence in early-stage triple-negative breast cancer. However, the value of anthracycline plus taxane (ATAX) compared with taxane-based (TAX) chemotherapy in older women (≥ 66 years) is not clear. as they are often excluded from trials. Analysis of the SEER-Medicare database (2010-2015) found that among older women with T1-4N0M0 TNBC adjuvant chemotherapy compared with no adjuvant chemotherapy was associated with improved CSS and OS, while ATAX compared with TAX was associated with worse CSS and OS.
