Addition of apalutamide or placebo to ADT for mCSPC: final survival analysis of TITAN study

The multinational phase 3 study TITAN randomized patients with metastatic castration-sensitive prostate cancer to apalutamide plus ADT or placebo plus ADT. After unblinding of the study, 39.5% of patients in the placebo group crossed over to apalutamide. Final survival analysis of the study showed that, despite crossover, apalutamide plus ADT improved OS, delayed castration resistance, maintained health-related quality of life, and had a consistent safety profile in a broad population of mCSPC patients.
